Along the Way

Along the Way is a narrative exploration game set in the British countryside. You play as Tess, a disillusioned petty criminal sentenced to community service in the fading coastal village of Nettleford. Forced into a slower pace of life, she spends her days completing odd jobs and her evenings exploring the village, forming unexpected bonds with its eclectic residents.

As Tess meets new friends and navigates the complexities of small-town life, your choices shape both her own journey and the future of Nettleford. At key moments, the player steps into the shoes of other characters, offering glimpses into their lives and perspectives. With themes of identity, belonging, and finding a path forward, Along the Way appeals to fans of Night in the Woods, Lake, and Kentucky Route Zero. Its unique art style, rich character-driven storytelling, and emotionally resonant narrative make it a compelling experience for those who love story-driven games with heart.

Along the Way is a collaboration between illustrator Matthew Lyons and Pocket Sized Hands.
